Job Description:
- Preparing formulaic reserve amounts and related processing and analysis (e.g. trend reports, validations, explanation of changes)
- Preparing quarterly/annual statutory and/or GAAP financial statements and schedules/exhibits related to reserves, policy counts, and amount of insurance
- Preparing reconciliations between actuarial models and financial exhibits
- Executing controls and participating in internal and external audits
- Preparing analytical schedules, analyzing variances, and providing analytical support based on individual review and internal customer requests
- Build and maintain Workday reports for the Actuarial team
- Participating in and initiating process improvement projects
- Work collaboratively within the team and across departments
Eligibility:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in any discipline (e.g. Finance, Accounts, Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field)
- 0-3 years experience in the Life Insurance industry
- Experience in actuarial & financial reporting for the US including yearend close activities
- Analytics experience in financial/accounting or insurance domain
- Knowledge of US products/regulations will be preferred
- Proficient in tools like MS Excel, SQL, and Access. Advanced Excel skills will be an added advantage
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Candidates with Actuarial/LOMA certifications will be preferred, and responsibilities
