Job Description:
- Assures improvement in the quality of utilities for collecting system logs and other debug information used by our internal support teams.
- Use your Linux knowledge and skills to design and carry out tests.
- Identify issues that might affect performance, stability, and interoperability.
- Work with developers to investigate issues
- Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
- Design, develop and maintain automated test suites
- Prototype and present your ideas; communicate with other team members
- Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
- Test software upgrades, patches, and hotfixes on servers, and workstations.
Skills:
- Solid skills and background in Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.
- Expert in Bash and/or Python scripting
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Fault finding, analysis and logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
