Job Description:
- Provide product development and technical analysis related to power electronics and power systems control of renewable generation, battery energy storage systems, and large industrial drives.
- Review the Grid Codes for different operating entities/owners across the world and develop a product compliance matrix.
- Work with the functional team to determine existing product compliance.
- Develop Compliance reports for each of the product lines and work with the engineering team to address any grid code compliance issues.
- Develop a technical understanding of the electrical characteristics of GE Vernova Solar & Storage Solutions power electronics products and their integration into electrical grids.
- Support continuous development of transmission and distribution connected products based on evolving codes and standards through participation in industry standards groups and leading innovative approaches to power equipment design.
- Communicate to both internal and external customers by preparing detailed written reports or presentations describing analyses performed, solutions developed, and customer value propositions.
- Support domestic and international projects across regions depending on overall market needs and communicate customer needs and values back to GE.
- Participate in and support project teams ensuring high-quality deliverables, budget, and on-time project metrics are met.
- Participate in a working environment where teamwork, quality, customer service, and innovation are prized.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or electric power engineering, or related field of study.
- 0 – 3 Years of relevant work experience is required.
- General understanding/awareness of electrical grid code topics.
- General understanding/awareness of country/region technical regulations and standards.
- Understanding of inverter-based electrical equipment.
- Must have strong communication and organization skills.
