Job Description:
- Demand Forecasting: Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors to develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that impact demand, utilizing tools such as Excel, SQL, Python & Data Science modelling.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain to gather insights, align on forecast assumptions, and communicate demand expectations.
- Forecast Accuracy Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine forecasting models and methodologies to improve forecast accuracy and reduce forecast error.
- Demand Planning Process: Drive the demand planning process from demand review meetings to consensus forecasting, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders and departments.
- Performance Metrics: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, service levels, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and macroeconomic factors to anticipate changes in demand patterns and adjust forecasts accordingly.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and system enhancements to streamline demand planning processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements:
- Strong problem-solving ability – Demonstrates structured thinking, robust analytical skills, and a strong process orientation.
- Strong in Data Analytics – Highly proficient in Advanced Excel, SQL & Python.
- Highly Action-Oriented – Demonstrates ownership of projects from conceptualization to execution in a fast-paced culture.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.
- Ability to collaborate – Builds strong relationships across departments and provides support to analysts within the team.
- Education & Experience: BE/BTech from a Tier 1 institute with 0-2 years of professional experience in e-commerce, retail, or analytics.
