Job Description:
- Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Financial Analyst I, where you’ll contribute to financial excellence and business growth.
- You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis and insights that support strategic decision-making.
- As part of our FSP Operations Finance team, you’ll help manage monthly closing process for 20-30 projects, develop project forecasts, analyze program GPs, and prepare monthly program reviews.
- This role offers opportunities to work with senior leadership and advance your career while contributing to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, no prior experience required in financial analysis in a corporate environment
- Preferred Fields of Study: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field
- Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) are a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with financial systems such as Hyperion, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills for collaborating in a matrix environment
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines
- Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and process improvement mindset
- Strong organizational skills
- Business fluency in English; additional languages may be required for specific locations
- Ability to manage and analyze large datasets
- Knowledge of Power BI or similar business intelligence tools preferred
