Job Description:
- Perform research on geospatial data, map features, and attributes using authoritative sources like government databases, academic publications, and industry reports.
- Utilize specialized mapping tools and conduct online research to extract and process location-based information according to project guidelines.
- Validate and update existing map features, addressing any discrepancies or outdated information.
- Identify gaps and inconsistencies in map data and propose solutions for improved content creation and curation.
- Handle complex geospatial data manipulation, including combining, splitting, and merging map features and attributes.
- Work on intricate mapping workflows and specialized geographic domains.
- Perform investigations using various data sources and signals to identify abuse spam patterns, and drive anti-abuse experiments to prevent abuse on Google Maps.
- Using signal insights from investigations to drive workflow improvements
- Help drive knowledge improvements in the team to identify grey areas and surfacing them for further investigations
- Understand and remain up-to-date with content policies and guidelines.
- Review online videos, social media, web page and advertising content for compliance with policies and guidelines. Content could be in text, image, audio, video or any other format.
- Identify content that is not in compliance with requirements and flag for action.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Strong communication skills
- 2+ years of expereince in mapping space .
