Job Title : Linux Systems Engineer
Location : Bangalore
Job Description :
- Responsible for performance analysis, proactive troubleshooting and capacity planning for the Windows, Linux & Virtualization platforms
- Perform monitoring and maintenance of overall environment working with experienced team members
- Perform change controls. Update process documentation and team portals
- Review entire environment and execute initiatives to reduce failures, defects and improving overall performance
- Communicate with peers and managers regarding system issues & participate in 24×7 on-call
- Manage equipment tracking
- Use scripting languages to automate tasks and gather data
- Ability to handle multiple complex tasks in a dynamic environment, with tight deadlines concurrently
- Ability to use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to resolve issues
- Manage the ITAM and ITSM tools
Skills :
- 1+ years hands on experience with Citirx Xen, VMware ESXi, vSphere
- Scripting knowledge in one of the following languages (Powershell, Shell, Perl, Python)
- Knowledge of SCCM and Symantec/Mcafee endpoint protection
- Experience in TCP/IP networking, DNS, AD, LDAP, SMTP, IMAP , Linux account management, NFS, iSCSI
- Experience in Redhat, Ubuntu, OS X and Windows operating systems
- Good Verbal and written communication skills
Qualification : BE / BTech / ME / MTech
