Job Description:
- The QA Tester is responsible for the quality assurance of software products.
- The successful candidate will work directly with software developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to identify, isolate, and report defects in software.
Responsibilities:
- Testing software products to find out the defects
- Participating in the development of test plans and test cases
- Documenting and reporting test results to project stakeholders
- Knowledge of software testing principles and experience with various testing types such as functional, smoke, sanity, regression, and integration testing
- Assisting in the troubleshooting of defects and issues
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as DevOps
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or any script programming languages, and ability to write code to test software products
- Familiarity with Selenium WebDriver and ability to write automated test scripts using Selenium
- Passion for quality and best practices in software testing
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman
- Understanding of database concepts such as SQL queries and ability to test databases using SQL
- Understanding of source control tools such as Git
- Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery principles and understanding of the CI/CD pipeline
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with developers, testers, and other stakeholders
- Participating in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups and sprint retrospectives
- Delivering high-quality software products within project timelines
- Continuously learning new testing techniques and tools to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness
- Sharing knowledge and best practices with other team members to improve overall quality and testing practices
