Responsibilities:
- Maintaining Data Lake based data models with automated pipelines for data processing, ingestion and consumption, including governance and data quality capabilities, leveraging multiple platform technologies (e.g.: AWS, Databricks, Azure, etc.)
- Monitoring critical data pipelines and engaging on proactive support with platform teams, end-users or projects
- Implementing automated testing or executing manual testing procedures to ensure conformity with functional and non-functional requirements.
- Identifying impacts of changes in sources of data, code and platforms
Requirements:
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
- A minimum 0-3 years of professional experience
- Have knowledge of Data Engineering concepts (SQL, Data Modelling, ELT)
- Have knowledge of Data Processing languages and technologies (e.g.: PySpark, databases, distributed systems)
- Have knowledge of Data Visualization tools and technologies (e.g.: Tableau, PowerBI)
- Be aware of methods and practices such as Lean/Agile/XP, etc. Prior experience in an agile environment, or introductory training on Lean/Agile is a differentiator. Be aware of and able to apply continuous integration (CI).
