Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases.
- Backup and disaster recovery activities – copy, replicate, periodic DR testing
- Should be doing the required replications to ensure high availability, data sync.
- Server clustering and scheduled backup, Server mirroring.
- Monitor database performance and optimize SQL queries for efficiency.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning.
- Troubleshoot database issues and coordinate with developers to resolve them.
- Implement and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with IT support and development teams on database-related projects.
- Develop and maintain documentation for database procedures and processes.
- Stay up to date with the latest database trends and technologies.
- Configuring Azure services to meet the needs of the organization
- Designing and managing swap space in the cloud environment
- Maintaining azure profiles and subscriptions
- Setting up private and public cloud environments
- Balancing and deploying workloads
- Implementing and managing cost-effective cloud systems
Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in SQL Server database administration (on prem and Azure environment).
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:
- Microsoft certified SQL Server administrator.
- Preferred to have Azure SQL certification Domain.
- Fluent English, oral and written.
- Strong Analytical Thinking
